There once existed a wool jacket design inspired by the A-1 flight jacket, believed to have been worn by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), and commonly referred to as the CCC jacket. This piece reconstructs that civilian-model A-1 in leather.
While retaining signature details such as the ribbed hem and patch pockets, the collar—typically seen as a shawl or knit style—has been reimagined with a tailored collar-like finish.
Symbolized by a test-sample–inspired label, the jacket is elevated into an experimental and forward-looking design with a fresh perspective.
