INDIGO HORSE
Have you seen our recent article on "Kakishibu Hose"?
The unique aging process of persimmon tannin. It's very nice.
It is exactly the kind of leather jacket that you can grow.
The material we introduce this time is "Indigo Horse".
Normally, indigo dye does not adhere to leather.
However, the tannery has succeeded in successfully applying indigo dye to the leather through many years of trial and error.
The base is dyed in a color that gives the image of "medium white," so when the color fades like denim, the "medium white" of the base will come out.
Please see the image.
This one was worn by the owner of a dealer "Real Deal" in Sendai, and what a year it has been worn.
And he says it is no maintenance.
I was surprised to see it at an event held in March, and took a sneak peek? I was so surprised to see it at an event in March that I took a sneak peek.
(All images are of the same piece of clothing.)
We were so amazed at how well it aged that we asked Hail Mary to do a feature on this aging garment for you to see.
The owner is a biker, so he wore it almost everyday all year round.
The winters in Sendai are cold, so he wore an outer layer over this G-jacket.
We think the silver side of the indigo color has been worn off by the outerwear, which may have accelerated the aging process.
Please take a look at this aged G-jacket at Real Deal.
