Leather has many overlapping areas in the sewing process. By skive the leather in the areas to be sewn, the thickness of the leather can be preserved and the sewing can be finished beautifully. It also reduces the burden on the shoulders and other parts of the body where leather overlaps. For this reason, we mark the skiving points for each part and give instructions. The width and thickness are changed according to the type and leather.

This is the final result after skiving process. If the leather where skived is flat without bump, the next process would be much easier for sewing craftmen.
