[Cutting]Selecting the best sections from one skin.
Based on the pattern output on paper, the pattern is copied onto cardboard. This makes it easier to cut the leather. In addition to the leather pattern, the lining and core patterns are also copied onto cardboard in the same way.
The transferred cardboard is separated by product number and size for management, and a considerable amount is needed to make just one mold. Based on this, the cutting process begins.
Even if the dyed leather is finished using the same recipe, there will be differences in color and luster depending on the climate and humidity at the time. In particular, light-colored leathers such as camel have uneven coloring even within the same piece of leather. The cutter cuts the leather into pieces, matching the color and grain while imagining the finished product.
After matching the color and grain, each part of the leather is carefully cut by hand. Especially, the curved parts are where the craftsmen show their skills.
The finishied cut parts are assembled as shown in the picture. The jacket would look so different depends on how color and grain are matched between front and sleeve. The average number of pieces cut from leather is about 35 per garment.
