SHEEP SKIN SPORTS JKT[ SPR-45 ]

The product we would like to introduce this time is the SHEEP SKIN SPORTS JKT "SPR-45".

SHEEP SKIN is a new material that has been added to the lineup as a new MATERIAL from this season.

It took several years from the conception, but with the cooperation of the tanner, we were able to obtain the raw hide that matched our image.

I had three conditions for using sheepskin.

"Thickness of 1.3mm or more", "dye finish", and "finish in Japan".

Sheepskin is usually 0.8mm to 1mm thick, but we needed leather that was "1.3mm or more thick".

Also, sheepskin is very small compared to horse and steer, so if there are scratches, it is very difficult to cut.

For this reason, we would like to use pigments to hide scratches, but we are very particular about the dye, so we need to secure raw hides in good condition that match that.

Finally, sheepskin is often finished overseas, but this wonderful rawhide is finished with an original recipe at a reliable Japanese tanner.

It was quite difficult to clear all of these requirements, but I think that the thickness, texture, softness, etc. were all as imagined.

I've made a long introduction, but this season's models using sheepskin are this "Sports JKT" and "A-1".

It may be surprising, but this Sports JKT has the same design as the "25th Anniversary Bullhide JKT" that was released last year as a limited edition.

The 42 series is a little tight and has pleats, but this design has a boxy silhouette without pleats.

There are no sleeves or cuffs, so it's a very simple design.

The leather is also very soft, so I imagined a leather jacket that you can wear all day without taking it off.

The lining is made of cupra to make the most of its softness.

It is difficult to procure raw hide, so although it is not limited, we are unable to prepare a large quantity.
