Y’2 LEATHER 2025 New Collection Delivery Information
To All Leather Jacket Enthusiasts
We hope you’re all doing well.
Here in Osaka, the temperature has dropped considerably, and we’ve finally entered leather jacket season.
It’s the time of year when we can fully enjoy the colors of the leaves, good books, and seasonal flavors —
though if we could be a little greedy, we’d wish this season arrived just a bit earlier.
Still, let’s make the most of this short but special autumn.
We’d like to share details of our new models and their estimated delivery times below.
(Please note that these are current estimates and may vary depending on production progress.)
① [WSR-45]
OILED ROUGH STEER SPORTS JACKET
This piece uses thick steerhide that has been vegetable-tanned and then deeply oiled,
resulting in a supple texture that feels lighter than its 3mm thickness would suggest.
Like our 25th Anniversary Bullhide Jacket, its simple design allows you to fully appreciate
the natural character and aging of the leather.
Estimated delivery: Early November
② [LSC-76-C]
ANILINE STEER ROUNDED HEM CAR COAT
Made with steerhide finished by a tannery specializing in horsehide,
using the same recipe as our signature “Aniline Horse.”
Available in black (tea-core) and cherry.
The transparent beauty unique to aniline dye, without any pigment coating,
gives this leather both elegance and depth.
Production has been underway since August,
but due to the large number of orders and the decision to ship all pieces simultaneously,
delivery will take a little extra time.
Estimated delivery: Black – mid-November / Cherry – late November
③ [SPB-140]
SHEEP SKIN 1ST TYPE JEAN JACKET
Part of our “Sheep Skin” series, crafted from French hides finished by Japanese tanners.
Although based on a classic denim jacket design,
it offers a softer, smoother feel compared to horsehide.
Estimated delivery: Late November
④ [SPB-156]
SHEEP SKIN COLLARLESS JACKET
Using the same sheep leather as the above model,
this collarless jacket takes inspiration from shooting jackets,
refined into a simpler and more sophisticated design.
Estimated delivery: Early December
⑤ [YK-07]
SHEEP SKIN FRENCH CYCLIST JACKET
A collaboration model with ADJUSTABLE COSTUME,
featuring an original buckle that adds bold character to the piece.
Estimated delivery: Late November
⑥ [WJ-07]
STEER ROUGHOUT & SADDLE HORSE WESTERN JACKET
A western jacket combining roughout steerhide with saddle horse leather,
highlighted by its distinctive smile pockets.
This is a refined version of a model originally released years ago with fringes.
As the steer and saddle horse leather age,
the jacket will develop an even richer and deeper character.
Estimated delivery: Early November
⑦ [KB-162]
PERSIMMON TANNIN DYED HORSE COSSACK JACKET
An updated take on a 1930s-style Cossack jacket.
Its classical and elegant design pairs beautifully with persimmon-tannin-dyed horsehide,
which gradually turns to a warm amber tone with wear.
Because this leather cannot hide natural marks or scratches,
only about 5–10 hides can be selected from every 100 raw hides.
As a result, we limit production to three models per year.
We are currently conducting an extensive selection process to maintain quality,
which has caused a slight delay in production.
We sincerely appreciate your patience as we complete this special piece.
Estimated delivery: Mid-December
About Our Production
As we’ve shared before, Y’2 LEATHER intentionally avoids a mass-production line system.
Instead, our products are crafted in small groups by skilled artisans,
allowing each piece to receive the attention and care it deserves.
We also hold our materials to exceptionally high standards:
Large hides suitable for leather jackets
Hides with minimal scars that can be finished without pigments
Leathers with substantial thickness (1.5mm or more, like our Aniline Horse)
Securing leather that meets all three criteria has become increasingly difficult each year.
For this reason, some orders may take additional time to complete —
but we hope you understand that this is part of our commitment to uncompromising quality.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and understanding.
