Regarding New Business Partnerships
We sincerely appreciate your continued support of Y’2 LEATHER.
We would like to inform you about our policy regarding new retail partners.
As you may know, all Y’2 LEATHER jackets are produced at our own workshop in Osaka.
Rather than mass-producing in large overseas factories, we work in several small groups of two to three craftsmen, following a traditional workshop-style production.
While this method is not the most efficient, it allows each group’s unique craftsmanship and character to be reflected in the final product.
For example, one group specializes in sewing tough leathers such as eco horsehide using thick, durable threads,
while another focuses on delicately tailoring deerskin jackets.
This system allows us to assign each project to the team best suited to its material and design.
We believe that pursuing efficiency alone can compromise what truly matters in craftsmanship.
Instead, we are committed to taking great care in the details that are not visible to the eye,
creating garments that can be worn for at least ten years, guided by our philosophy of sincerity and durability.
Because of this commitment, our annual production capacity is limited,
and for quality control reasons, we are unable to accept orders beyond that limit.
Therefore, we have suspended new OEM production for several years.
In recent seasons, as the number of new domestic and international retailers has grown,
it has become increasingly difficult to maintain our high level of quality and ensure a stable supply to our existing partners.
Accordingly, we have decided to temporarily suspend applications for new domestic and overseas dealers.
(This does not apply to clients who are already in the process of establishing business with us.)
Our collections are presented at exhibitions starting in January each year,
and even for the latest orders, we ensure that all deliveries are completed by December of that same year.
Since delivery schedules are promises we make to our clients,
we will resume new business partnerships only when we are confident that we can honor those commitments without compromise.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and deeply appreciate your understanding.
